What started as a routine trip to the grocery store for a customer at Wegmans on McGaw Road in Columbia delivered a $68,280.71 prize to a player who purchased a FAST PLAY SLINGO ticket.
SLINGO made its debut early last year, and the winning ticket sold on Tuesday, Oct. 15 was just the fourth progressive jackpot winner - and the largest so far.
The previous three progressive jackpot prizes were $30,028; $37,616; and $39,571.
Its jackpot starts at $14,000 and grows with the sale of each ticket until a progressive jackpot-winning ticket is purchased.
There are still 11 progressive jackpots remaining, along with instant-win prizes ranging from $3 to $1,000.
No winner has come forward.
They've been advised to sign the back of the ticket immediately, once they realize they hold the golden ticket, and will now have 182 days to claim the prize.
